Safety & Security

Your safety, and the security of your personal property are of concern to us. We urge you to take advantage of the following suggestions.

Admittance

Identify ALL callers through door viewer before opening the door. If a person claims to be an employee of the hotel, contact the Front Desk and ask if someone from the staff needs to have access to your room, and for what purpose. Never admit persons with unsolicited deliveries. Do not reveal your name or room number to strangers.

Automobile

Please do not encourage crime. Kindly remove valuables from your car and ensure that the car is locked. If you desire an escort to and from your car, please contact the Front Desk.

Door Locks

For additional safety, upon entering your room, please utilize the deadbolt by the doorknob and the auxiliary lock located on the upper portion of the door. This will prevent the door from being opened by a regular key. Please be sure that your room door is locked before retiring.

Keys

Do safeguard your key as you would your residence. If your key is lost or stolen, report it to the Front Desk immediately. Be sure to leave your room key with the Front Desk Staff upon departure. Do not give your key to others.

Skiing Safety

Read more on skiing safety procedures here.

We hope that these procedures will contribute to your comfort and well being during your stay.

  • Like any building, hotels can have fires. Plan what to do when you check in. You wont have time to plan during a fire.
  • Please familiarize yourself with the location of the nearest and alternate exit stairways, in the unlikely event of a fire or sounding of the fire alarm system. Count the number of doors from your room to the exits. Make sure the exits are unlocked and not blocked.
  • Learn the layout of your room and how to unlock the door in the dark. Put your room key close to where you sleep.
  • During emergencies, use only designated exits. If possible, report fires or smoke to the Hotel Operator.
  • Locate the fire alarm on your floor. If you find a fire in your room or other location, sound the alarm.
  • When you hear the fire alarm, act, don't investigate.
  • If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door. Once out, report the fire to the management. If the fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First feel the door. If it is cool, open it slowly and go to the nearest exit.
  • Crawl low in smoke. Fresh air will be at the floor. If you encounter smoke or fire at lower levels, turn around and use another exit. Take your key so you can go back to your room if you can not use your exits.
  • If your room door is hot, don't open it. Your room may be the safest place to be. Call the Front Desk and report the fire and your location.
  • Seal all cracks with wet towels. Shut off fan and air conditioners. Signal at your window for help and wait to be rescued.
  • In the event of a fire alarm and /or emergency evacuation, please follow the directions and procedures on the instruction card located on the inside of your guest room door.
