2) Mountain Biking

Prefer to hit the trails on two wheels? Canaan Valley Resort has you covered with bike rentals. You'll love our new six-mile "Promise Land Trail" that provides some of the best views. Take a family bike ride and go at your own speed. Stop to refuel with a picnic lunch and take in the beautiful backdrop of the Allegheny Mountains.

3) Climbing Wall

Try something new and scale the climbing wall at Canaan Valley Resort. It’s the perfect family activity and is built for all ages. The wall allows for three climbers at a time so you can race your friends to the top.

4) Golf

Tee off at the 18-hole, par 72 golf course surrounded by the beautiful West Virginia countryside. It features 65 sand bunkers and eight water hazards, making it the perfect course for both novice and experienced golfers. The course ranks 12th in the state, and Golf Digest magazine gave it a four-star rating.

5) Sporting Clays

Enjoy the great outdoors and shoot clay pigeon targets at the same time. Those 12 and older can test their aim at the one-of-a-kind range. This activity makes for great family or team bonding. Authorized personnel assists shooters during the sessions, which consist of five different positions.

6) Scenic Chairlift Ride

Get a breathtaking bird's eye view of the valley and Allegheny Mountains from our scenic chairlift ride. The picturesque landscape comes alive in the fall as the leaves change and surround you in a sea of color. It's the best seat in the house.
