Children’s Lessons:
Children’s Programs: Canaan Valley Resort offers guest ski lessons for all
skill levels given by qualified PSIA instructors. Canaan offers skiers (2)
terrain parks featuring rails, boxes, and more. Lessons and rentals are available.

Canaan Cub's (ages 3-5)
-One hour private lesson with a certified ski instructor
-Lessons customized to meet your child's skill level
-Lessons are available from 9am - 2pm daily based on availability
-Limited space available, reservations requiredCost: $56.00 (lessons only)

Skier Programs (full & half day) (Ages 6-12)
-Children learn about the equipment, how to stand up, control, safety,
respect for other skiers/riders and how to have fun
-Price includes lift ticket, rental, lesson. Full day program includes a lunch
-Limited space available, reservations required
-Available weekends and holidays only -Check in required by 8am
-Please be prompt when picking up children
-Lift and rentals will be picked up at the Children Ski & Ride School

-Children learn how to shred the mountain, control speed, safety, respect for other skiers/riders and how to have fun
-Price includes lift ticket, rental, lesson. Full day programs include a lunch
-Limited space available, reservations required
-Available weekends and holidays only
-Check-in by 8am
-Please be prompt when picking up children
-Lift and rentals will be picked up at the Children Ski & Ride School

Requirements:
- Resevations are strongly encouraged. Availability of instructors is limited.
- A cancellation fee of $50 will be applied to guest's credit card with less than a 24 hour notice.
- Parents are encouraged to read the CAP Model
- Lessons meet at the Children's Ski & Ride School check-in desk located on the first floor of the Ski School Building.
- All students must purchase a lift ticket and rental (unless otherwise stated).
- The use of helmets (especially for children) is highly recommended for the safety
of the child. Rental helmets are available at the Children's Ski & Ride School office.
Our retail store also carries children and adult helmets for purchase.
- All children must be potty trained.
- Afternoon half days are not available.

Private Lessons:
Private skiing or snowboarding lessons are available from one of
our top instructors. Learn how to ski or ride and enjoy a great winter activity.

Learn how to ski or ride in our group lessons which are designed to
offer individuals the opportunity to learn with other individuals.

Requirements:
- Reservations are not available. Availability of instructors is limited.
- Classes meet at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. Register/check-in at the Ski & Ride
School desk at least one hour before class time.
- Lessons meet at the Ski School building. Allow at least one hour to rent equipment if needed
- All students must purchase a lift ticket and rental prior to lesson.
- The use of helmets (especially for children) is highly recommended for
your safety. Rental helmets are available at the Ski School office. Our
retail shop also carries various size helmets for purchase.
- Minimum age to take a group lesson: Ski lesson - age 8 / Snowboard lesson - age 9.
