Swing Time at Canaan Valley Resort with the Stay & Play Golf Package
DAVIS, W.Va., May 2, 2016 – West Virginia’s Canaan Valley Resort is offering a great getaway for golfers seeking a top golf experience surrounded by mountain beauty and featuring freshly renovated accommodations and amenities.
Canaan’s Stay & Play package features one night of lodging in a standard queen room, breakfast in the Hickory Dining Room, one-day unlimited green fees, 18-hole shared cart rental, use of the outdoor swimming pool (seasonal) and privileges to the resort’s Beech Club pool and fitness facilities.
Rates are based upon double occupancy in lodge rooms and do not include tax and resort fee. From now through May 26 and again Sept. 5 – Oct. 30, rates per day are $86 per person during the week and $106 on weekends. From May 27 through Sept. 4, rates per day are $111 per person during the week and $131 on weekends.

The resort’s 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish and is open April through the end of October. Rated four stars by Golf Digest and named one of the top 10 courses in West Virginia, the course features four sets of tees and ranges from 5,966 to 6,984 yards long. The course is flat with 65 sand bunkers throughout and water on eight holes.
In addition to golf, guests will find several activities suitable for enjoying as a group or individually. Warm-weather outdoor activities include hiking and biking trails, riding the ski area’s chairlift, geocaching, tubing the “Turtle Slide,” climbing wall and “Eurobungy” in summer.
The resort’s newest outdoor activity is trap shooting, with various packages providing shells, pigeons, safety equipment and instruction.
